Justice S. Parvatarao Garu, a retired judge of the undivided Andhra Pradesh High Court, passed away on Wednesday. He is 90 years old. Rao was ill for some time. He is also associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He was also the former regional Sanghchalak of the RSS. He lived by the highest moral values ​​throughout his ninety-year life and inspired many others to do the same.
In March 1990, Parvat Rao was appointed as a High Court judge and retired in 1997. He is famous for many historic decisions. Parvat Rao was born in 1935 and was an excellent student since childhood. He completed his schooling and intermediate studies in Vijayawada. He then received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola College, Madras. He then went to England. In 1954, he received a master’s degree in physics, politics and economics from Oxford University. After returning home, he also completed his law degree in Madras and started his legal career at Duvvuri Narasaraju, Hyderabad. He has been practicing independently since 1961.

Justice Parvat Rao is a high-ranking intellectual. In addition to law, he studied various subjects such as medicine and engineering. He specializes in corporate law.

He later resigned, saying the Andhra Pradesh government had not implemented his recommendations for providing facilities at the district level. Later, he devoted his life to activities related to social services.

Initially, Parvat Rao was the Sanghharakh of the Sangh region and later became the Chairman of the All India Advocacy Council. He lived his life by following the highest moral values ​​and inspired many others to do the same. Once, when he returned to his hometown as a judge, when he was offered breakfast, he asked for it and paid for it. Not only that, out of the 30 acres of land he inherited, he donated 27 acres to many charities such as Gautami Seva Samiti, Gau Seva Samiti, etc.
Even before that, 45 years ago, he donated land in his hometown of Unguturu. Rs 10 lakh was also donated to BVK for running a school named Dr. Sunkavalli Vigyan Bharati. Apart from this, about 10 years ago, he raised Rs 10 million for the construction of a new school building. He built an organic dairy products center on the remaining 280 square yards of land next to the highway near the village.

He is married to Ms. Lakshmikantam Garu and has 3 daughters. All three are highly educated. He encouraged his wife to pursue higher education, and she completed a master’s degree and a law degree.
