Rio de Janeiro: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reviewed the process of troop withdrawal from Demchok and Depsang borders in eastern Ladakh at a meeting held on the sidelines of the G20 summit. This is the first high-level meeting between the two sides after the completion of the withdrawal process from the two confrontation points along the actual control line in the mountainous area.

India and China reach agreement
Brazil will host the G20 summit on Monday and Tuesday. Indian and Chinese armies completed disengagement exercises in Demchok and Depsang last month after India and China signed an agreement to resolve their border dispute. Both sides also resumed patrol activities in these two areas after a gap of about four and a half years.
