There was a stir in Kolhapur, Maharashtra after the body of a minor girl was found in a naked state. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police and forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. It is suspected that the innocent girl was raped and then murdered. On the complaint of the girl’s parents, the police have registered a case and started investigation. There is an atmosphere of anger among the people of the area after the incident.
The parents of the deceased girl are from Bihar. They had lodged a missing report of their daughter in the police station on Wednesday night. The body of the girl was found lying naked in a sugarcane field at around 1 pm on Thursday. The police have detained two suspects in this case. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that they have taken the incident in Shiye seriously. Efforts will be made to get the strictest punishment for the accused.

Police took two accused into custody
SP Mahendra Pandit also reached the spot and investigated the matter. On the instructions of the SP, the FSL and dog squad team also reached the spot and collected evidence from the scene. SP Mahendra Pandit said that two suspects have been taken into custody. They are being questioned. If anyone else is involved in this incident, strict action will be taken against him as well.
