After 4 Punjab government ministers resign in New Delhi, the Punjab government will also undergo a major reshuffle

Following the political turmoil in Delhi, there has also been a massive reshuffle in Punjab. Meanwhile, four ministers from Punjab have tendered their resignations. The leaders who resigned include Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Anmol Gagan Mann, Chetan Singh and Balkar Singh. It is understood other changes may be made as ministers are reshuffled.

Fourth cabinet expansion in 30 months

Let us tell you that this is the fourth time in Bhagwant Mann’s 30-month-long government that the size of the cabinet has been expanded. There are 15 ministers in the cabinet, including the chief minister. There are reportedly three remaining vacancies in the cabinet, with five new faces set to be sworn in on Monday.

According to sources, the AAP-led Punjab government has decided to sack four cabinet ministers. Instead, five new ministers entered the cabinet. New ministers in Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s cabinet will be sworn in at Raj Bhavan on Monday.

Earlier it was reported that Chetan Singh Jodamajra, Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Balkar Singh and Anmol Gagan Mann will definitely leave the cabinet. Among the new faces, Barinder Kumar Goyal, Dr Ravijot, Taranpreet Singh Saund, Mahinder Bhagat and Hardeep Singh Mundia could be inducted into the cabinet. At the same time, the ministers who were removed/replaced all had important ministries. However, the government has yet to clarify why the change was made. The changes come in the wake of major changes in Delhi related to the upcoming by-elections and Panchayat elections in Punjab.

Let us tell you that after Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail, there was a big shakeup in Delhi and Kejriwal announced his resignation as chief minister. Now Atish has been appointed as Delhi chairman. Kejriwal said he will continue to remain among the public and seek votes in the name of honesty.
