washington [US]October 28, 2024: Star singer Adele reportedly experienced an emotional moment during her Las Vegas residency when she discovered Canadian music legend Celine Dion was in the audience people.
A video shared by a fan on X shows Adele performing “When We Were Young” as she approached Dion, who was seated in a VIP box at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Tears streamed down Adele and Dion’s faces as they embraced each other passionately, emphasizing their mutual admiration. At one point, Dion lovingly held Adele’s face, kissed her hand, and they waved to nearby attendees before returning to the stage.
The emotional moment paid off as Dionne was seen wiping her eyes after the hug. She was joined on the show by her sons Nelson and Eddie Angeli, who comforted Adele after her touching interaction.
The heartfelt exchange was the latest in a series of unforgettable encounters between the two icons. Back in January 2018, Adele watched Dion perform at the Colosseum and later expressed her admiration in an Instagram post: “Queen Celine! What a performance, absolutely my life Highlights… Happy New Year, Ms. x.”
Dion also shared her excitement to see Adele on Instagram, writing: “While not able to attend all of my shows, I’m so happy that Adele was able to attend one of them… I love her so much!”
Adele’s two-year residency in Las Vegas ends in November. During a performance in Munich in September, she hinted that she might take a break from music once the residency ends, people reported.
