During the ordeal, the kidnappers managed to extort Rs 2 lakh from the bank accounts of Khan and his son. However, Mushtaq Khan’s quick thinking led to his escape. He took this opportunity and ran to the mosque to seek help from locals, who assisted him in contacting the police. Authorities ensured his safe return home.

Narrating the aftermath of the incident, Shivam Yadav said: “Mr. Mushtaq and his family were deeply shocked. Despite the trauma, he remained determined to file an FIR. We collected all the evidence and Including CCTV footage of flight tickets, bank transactions and the airport, Mr Mushtaq also pointed out the neighborhood and house where he was being held. “We believe the police will soon arrest the killer.”

The case bears eerie similarities to a recent incident involving comedian Sunil Pal, who was also lured and kidnapped on the pretext of attending an event. The incidents have raised concerns about potential criminal syndicates targeting public figures for extortion.

Yadav expressed hope for better safeguards in the future: “It’s shocking that two celebrities have faced similar experiences in such a short space of time. We hope this raises awareness and provides everyone with stronger safeguards. Protect.”

Mushtaq Khan is now safe and recovering from the traumatic experience. He is expected to address the media soon to share his full account of the ordeal.
