To accommodate Prayagraj devotees, people are making online bookings through fake websites. The tourism department has discovered eight such fake websites, which have no trace of tent cities and tent clusters, but bookings on these websites continue to be made. After obtaining relevant information, preparations are now underway to tighten the noose by taking legal action against the fake website.
400 million devotees will visit Mahakum Temple
More than 400 million devotees are expected to attend the Mahakumbh event in 2025. The tourism board is setting up a tent city at Arrival Jhusi and a train colony at the parade ground where devotees will be able to avail maximum facilities at affordable prices.

Meanwhile, thugs extorted money by creating fake websites and getting people to book shows. However, the land remains undistributed and thugs keep booking tent cities. Incidents of bookings made through such fake websites have come to light. The fake website claims to build a tent city near Ulta Qila where the rent in the colony is kept at least Rs 8 to 15,000 per day. After the fake website came to light, Dummela police officer Vijay Kiran Anand also took the matter seriously and directed to take legal action against those promoting the fake website.
