The body of a cleaner was found in suspicious circumstances in a room in Vindhicharamshala in Mirzapur. The deceased was identified as Santosh Kumar, a resident of Shahpur Chausa in Dehat Kotwali district. Police also found some sex-enhancing drugs at the scene and feared Santosh may have died of a drug overdose. The deceased Santosh Kumar lived in Dharamshala with his female friend who fled the scene.
During the police investigation, the woman was identified from the CCTV footage and found to be the wife of Santosh’s friend. The woman returned home from Vindyachal, where she consumed poisonous substances. When his condition worsened, the family rushed him to the district hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead. The woman was identified as Varji Mukundpur of Padri police station area.
Dharamshala cleaner dies
While calling 112, the police received information that a person was found dead at a place in Dharamshala near the Vinhyachal Pradesh State Bank. Based on information, senior police officers, forensic team and Vindhachal police station reached the spot. Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased Santosh Kumar lived there with his female friend. During the investigation, police also found sex-enhancing drugs near Santosh’s body, raising the possibility of overdose.
A female friend also committed suicide
An investigation on the absconding woman based on CCTV footage revealed that she was the wife of Santosh’s friend. The woman took poisonous substances after returning home and died as a result. The police have seized two bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination and have initiated legal action. Everyone was surprised when this incident came to light.
