In Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur district, a newlywed woman hanged herself after seeing the moon on Kavajos night. As the death occurred on the holiday, the family was in mourning. The wife allegedly committed suicide because her husband did not take the oath to abstain from drugs (gutkha). At present, the police have taken the body into custody and sent it for autopsy and launched an investigation.
According to information received, the 22-year-old deceased had a love marriage with a boy from the family two years ago. There is a lot of controversy about this. Tensions arise between the two families. However, later things became normal. Yesterday (October 20), he hanged himself after seeing the moon in Karva Chauth. There was chaos in the home after the body was seen hanging from a noose. There were rumors of someone committing suicide over a domestic dispute.
Family members told us that yesterday Sunday, Sunita (name changed) observed fast for Karva Chauth to seek long life for her husband. While performing puja in the evening, she also completed her fast by drinking water provided by her husband. But late at night, the couple had differences over some issues. After that, the husband went to the balcony to sleep, and the wife went to the room to sleep. Late at night, Sunita committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan hook in her room.
The family members were shocked to see Sunita’s body hanged at 7 am on Monday. The police seized the body and sent it for autopsy. Initially, it was reported that he was hanged due to a domestic dispute. However, the deceased’s husband is not yet ready to say much on the matter. At the same time, members of the deceased’s family have also arrived at the scene. Police said no complaints have been received yet. If a complaint is received, we will take action.
