According to news agency ANI, police said people had stored firecrackers in a house in a village in Shikhabad, where a sudden explosion occurred. Due to this explosion, the roofs of nearby houses also collapsed, and many people were buried under the rubble. Four people were also killed.

Agra Range IG Deepak Kumar said, “Firecrackers were stored in a house in Shikohabad PS area, following which an explosion occurred. Due to the impact of the explosion, the roof of a nearby house collapsed. Police rescued 10 persons from the rubble… Six persons are being treated in the hospital, four persons died… Further rescue operations are underway…”
