CM Atishi has accepted the resignation of Delhi government minister Kailash Gehlot. The Aam Aadmi Party said Kailash resigned under pressure from the ED. AAP said many ED and income tax cases were pending against Kailash and therefore, many ED and income tax raids were conducted against him.
The Aam Aadmi Party termed the entire incident as a dirty conspiracy of the BJP and said that the BJP hopes to win the Delhi elections with the power of ED and CBI.

There was a stir in Delhi politics when Delhi government minister Kailash Gehlot announced on Twitter that he had submitted his resignation letter to AAP supremo Kejriwal. Kailash Gehlot wrote in the letter: “Shameful and bizarre controversies like Sheesh Mahal’s now make everyone wonder if we still believe we are one Ordinary people. It is now clear that real progress in Delhi is not possible if the government spends most of its time fighting the centrists.”
He further stated that he had no choice but to quit the party. He cited the example of Yamuna to illustrate other controversies that we were promised to make Yamuna a clean river but could never achieve it. The Yamuna River may now be more polluted than before.
