Aam Aadmi Party’s vote percentage may increase in Haryana
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party contested the elections together in Haryana. Due to the alliance, AAP was able to contest only on one Kurukshetra seat. The party had fielded state president Sushil Gupta from here. Sushil Gupta stood second on this seat by getting about five lakh 13 thousand votes. Naveen Jindal won this seat on a BJP ticket. As far as the votes received by the Aam Aadmi Party are concerned, it is obvious that the votes received by Congress must also have been included in it. But when Aam Aadmi Party gets 3.94 percent votes in Haryana by contesting only one Lok Sabha seat, it is obvious that this time it will increase a bit. In the assembly elections, the party is contesting on a total of 90 assembly seats. It should be expected that the vote percentage will increase a bit more this time.
However, in the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party contested on 46 seats. But the party’s vote share was only 0.48 percent. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, all ten seats in Haryana were won by BJP. Even after contesting on a total of three Lok Sabha seats, AAP’s vote share was only 0.36 percent. Narula says that there are at least 9 seats in Haryana where Aam Aadmi Party will get a good number of votes. There is a possibility of it winning on some of these seats. Especially Anurag Dhanda from Kalayat, Harpinder Singh Happy from Rania, Rakesh Parsad from Guhla Cheeka, Adarsh Pal Gurjar from Jagadhari etc. come to the fore.
