How many times can the details be changed?

You can change the date of birth in your Aadhar card maximum once. Beyond that, you can only make a maximum of two name changes. However, UIDAI does not impose any restrictions on changing mobile phone numbers and addresses. You can change your address and mobile number in your Aadhar card as many times as you want. However, UIDAI charges some fees for this. The facility is currently free until December 14, 2024.

Supporting documentation must be provided

To change any details in your Aadhaar card, you have to upload supporting documents related to it. Without verification of supporting documents, there will be no changes in your Aadhar card details. For example, if you want to update your date of birth in your Aadhar card, you have to upload your birth certificate or high school transcript as supporting documents.

According to UIDAI, the request to update Aadhaar card details will be approved within 30 days. However, it may take up to 90 days to update some details. If you face any problem while updating the details, you can contact UIDAI helpline 1947 or visit the nearest Aadhaar center and request to change the details again.
