Once again a conspiracy to overturn a train has come to light in Kanpur, UP. Investigation agencies have become active and are questioning the suspects in custody. The involvement of terrorists behind this conspiracy cannot be ruled out. A few days before the incident, Farhatullah Gori, the mastermind of Rameshwar Cafe blast sitting in Pakistan, had released a video and appealed to the Indian Muslim youth to blow up the railway tracks. Gori had also asked to target transport. At present, the investigation agencies are gathering information keeping in mind every aspect.

In fact, Kalindi Express collided with an LPG cylinder placed on the track on Anwarganj-Kasganj railway route in Kanpur on Sunday night (September 8). This train was going from Prayagraj to Bhiwani. The loco pilot averted the accident by applying brakes on time. Investigation revealed that a conspiracy was hatched to overturn the train using the cylinder. Fortunately, there was no explosion. The train stopped for about 20 minutes. Later, the investigating agencies found petrol bombs, gunpowder packets and matchboxes apart from the filled cylinder from the spot. After the accident, UP Police, ATS, IB, LIU and NIA came into action. Especially UP ATS is collecting facts and evidence in the case very thoroughly. Some people are also being detained and questioned, but the way such incidents are coming to light one after the other in Uttar Pradesh in the recent past, it cannot be ruled out that there is a big conspiracy regarding the security of the railways. Suddenly, things like iron rods, wooden poles, gas cylinders, alloy wheel rims etc are being found on the railway tracks.

Obviously, the apprehension grows whether a conspiracy is being hatched on the tracks to cause rail accidents in the country? Is an attempt being made to cause rail accidents in India on the appeal of terrorists sitting in Pakistan? UP DGP Prashant Kumar says that our senior officers have inspected the spot. We are looking into it seriously. Whatever facts come to light, we will inform you. We will look into all aspects. It is not possible to say anything right now without conducting a thorough investigation.

Is it the hand of the Khorasan module?

A big revelation is being made in the conspiracy to derail Kalindi Express. According to sources, ATS suspects the involvement of the Khorasan module of the terrorist organization IS. The boys of this module radicalize themselves and carry out attacks. ATS sources say that terrorists of this module carry out such attacks. Such attacks have already taken place in Madhya Pradesh in 2017. A terrorist of this module, Saifullah, was killed in an encounter in Lucknow. A cylinder and IED were also found with him. Many accused were arrested in this case from Jajmau in Kanpur. Sources say that such attacks are being carried out at the behest of IS and ISI. Along with radicals, those who carry out attacks for money may also be involved in this. NIA is also investigating the case now. The NIA team will support the local police and will investigate the case at its own level. NIA SP Lucknow Branch is leading the team. Investigation is also being done from the angle of conspiracy.

Was there a big conspiracy to derail the train?

Investigation agency sources say that just a week ago, Faratullah Ghori, accused in the Rameswaram cafe blast, had appealed to Muslim youth to target and attack trains. Agencies are also investigating this angle. After being declared a fugitive in India, Ghori is hiding in Pakistan. He had conspired to carry out the blast in Bengaluru’s Rameswaram cafe through a sleeper cell with the help of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). 10 people were injured in the blast in Rameswaram on March 1.

The government handed over the investigation to NIA

According to the police, when the entire matter was investigated, it was found that some unknown people had conspired to blow up the express train with gas cylinders and gunpowder. UP’s Anti-Terrorist Squad recovered a gas cylinder, gunpowder in a sweet box, a matchbox and a petrol bomb from the spot, which gives an idea of how big an accident could have happened if this gas cylinder had blasted after colliding with the train and this train would have become a victim of a big conspiracy. Railway Police, ATS and Intelligence Bureau believe that there could be a big conspiracy behind this incident and this is the reason why the government has now handed over the investigation of this case to NIA. So far, a total of 6 suspects have been arrested in this incident and the police have also expressed doubts over the role of Jamaat people.

What was the motive behind the conspiracy?

Police says that in the area where this incident happened, people of Jamaat from other states, districts and cities come for religious pilgrimage to different centers and it is possible that a member of Jamaat is involved in this incident as well. Right now two big things are being said about the conspiracy in this case. First thing is that the attackers wanted to blow up the train with a gas cylinder and second – the attackers were going to set the train on fire with a petrol bomb after the gas cylinder exploded, but since the gas cylinder did not explode after colliding with the train, the accused ran away leaving matchsticks, petrol bombs and the gun powder kept in a sweet box on the tracks.

After the results of the Lok Sabha elections on June 4, a total of 8 such incidents have taken place across the country, in which there has been a conspiracy to overturn trains by placing iron rods, girders, boulders and big stones on the tracks. Within just 8 months of the year 2024, 14 rail accidents have taken place, out of which five rail accidents have happened in the last month of August itself. On August 17, the Sabarmati Express was targeted in Kanpur. While on August 20, an attempt was made to derail a passenger train in Jabalpur and on August 22, such incidents also took place in Aligarh and on August 23, in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, which makes it seem that there is someone who is conspiring to cause a major rail accident in India and terrorists may also be behind this.

What video did terrorist Farhatullah Ghori release?

Last month, Pakistani terrorist Farhatullah Ghori released a video on the Telegram app in which he said three important things. First, he is plotting to derail trains in India by damaging the tracks. Second, the power in India will change only when there are suicide attacks and third, it mentioned LONE WOLF ATTACK, in which a terrorist carries out an attack without any external instructions and all these things have been said by that Pakistani terrorist, who has been declared most wanted by India and who is also the mastermind of the blast in Rameswaram Cafe in Bangalore.
