The crimes against women in Maharashtra are not decreasing. The case of sexual abuse of two school girls in Badlapur has not even cooled down when a case of rape of a 13-year-old girl has come to light in Pune. This incident happened on 15th August. The victim was raped by four boys studying with her. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
A police officer said that the victim was gang-raped twice. In the first incident, a minor boy forcefully had sex with the victim despite knowing that she was a minor. In the second incident, a friend of the victim took her to a boy’s house, where another minor boy raped her. During this, a third accused made videos.
On Wednesday, based on the victim’s complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 376 (rape), 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the POCSO Act. Two of the three accused boys were taken into custody and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. It is being told that the accused are students of class 10, while the victim is a student of class 7 in the same school. They knew each other from before.

Similarly, an incident of molestation of two minor girls has come to light in Navi Mumbai. Both of them were going to a stationery shop for some work. Meanwhile, a man stopped them on the way and started molesting them. The ages of both the girls are 10 and 11 years. Both of them went home and complained about it. The father of one of the victim girls has filed a case at the police station.
