Beijing: India and China have once again launched a round of bilateral talks to restore relations. Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met in Beijing on Wednesday to hold talks on border issues and other issues to get relations between the two countries back on track. During this period, the two leaders are expected to discuss various issues, including maintaining peace along the Line of Actual Control and reviving bilateral relations that have been tense for more than four years due to the military standoff in eastern Ladakh.
Doval, who leads the Indian delegation, arrived in Beijing on Tuesday to participate in the 23rd round of special representatives’ talks held after five years. The last meeting was held in Delhi in 2019. The talks started at 10 am China time. During this period, the two countries are expected to discuss many issues to restore bilateral relations after reaching an agreement on troop withdrawal and patrolling from eastern Ladakh on October 21.
