People of 35 villages are in panic due to the continuous attacks of man-eating wolves in Bahraich. During this time, many senior officers of the forest department have reached Bahraich on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

On Monday, 10 officers including MD (IFS) Sanjay Kumar of Forest Corporation, Chief Forest Conservator (IFS) HV Girish, two DFOs and 2 Assistant Forest Conservators reached Bahraich. Now the search operation will be conducted under the joint leadership of MD Sanjay Kumar and CCF HV Girish. At the same time, CCF Renu Singh will assist the rescue teams by coordinating with the police-administration.

CM Yogi said that a strategy should be made to minimize human-wildlife conflict. Additional manpower should be deployed and there should be no shortage of equipment. During this, the CM also emphasized on public awareness for rescue. The CM further said that patrolling should be increased in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Shravasti, Moradabad, Hapur, Sitapur, Gonda, Meerut, Bijnor and Bareilly.

CM Yogi said on Monday that the government is committed to protecting the life of every citizen. He said that all security arrangements should be made in districts that are sensitive from the wildlife point of view.

In the meeting, the CM said that in recent times, incidents of attacks by man-eating wolves or leopards have been seen in some areas of the state. This has also led to loss of life. This situation should be controlled as soon as possible. He said that efforts should be made to control and catch wild animals at all costs. Technical support should also be taken for this.
