Derrick Henry, the running back of the Baltimore Ravens, has been in the news lately as there are speculations about his contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens. Recently, he appeared on the podcast, The Edge With Micah Parsons, and revealed his dreams and aspirations. But as luck would have it, some of Derrick Henry’s statements have raised eyebrows and now he is getting trolled.
Derrick Henry Gets Brutally Trolled For His Statement On Winning A Potential Super Bowl
On the podcast, The Edge With Micah Parsons, Derrick Henry said, “Winning a Super Bowl: “I gotta have it. I need it. I’ll be depressed if I don’t get it. Please, Lord, right now” “, as he spoke about wanting to be with his current team, the Baltimore Ravens. While this might seem pretty aspirational and motivational, many fans have not liked his statement.
A fan took to X and wrote, “All these players that want a Super Bowl so bad should take pay cuts to set their team up better lol”, while another fan wrote, “I feel like our players are so hungry for it, so consumed by that want of that elusive Lombardi trophy. That it affects their performance in the biggest moments of the season. Not saying they need to relax, but…”
A third fan wrote, “I really had alot of respect for Henry before this. Hearing him talk he’s just a big idiot.”
Derrick Henry, on the podcast with Micah Parsons, also spoke about how he desperately wants to be with his current team, the Baltimore Ravens. He says, “I want to finish my career in Baltimore. So, like, I want this to be my last stop. I’m not trying to go to another tea, you know.”
Derrick Henry Reveals The Team He Would Like To Play And Retire For
The star player also added that he is yet to understand which team he would be retiring in. He also did not rule out the option of joining the Tennessee Titans and retiring there but his first priority would be his current team, the Baltimore Ravens.
Derrick Henry also described the Baltimore Ravens as a “first class organisation” and also dismissed any rumours of his potential retirement.
For the unversed, the star player, Derrick Henry started his career with the Tennessee Titans and stayed with them for a couple of years, until the 2024 season when he signed a $16 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens for two years.
