Pahalgam Attack: J&K CMO’s toll-free helpline remains active, proves important for students studying outside

In response to the concerns after the initiative terrorist attack, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir established a dedicated toll-free helpline on 24 April to help a dedicated toll-free helpline on 24 April to assist the students of the union area studying outside the area.

An official said that the helpline has proved to be an important, remaining active and highly responsible, offering all forms of assistance to counseling, guidance and upset students.

After the report came out, the toll-free helpline was established that students were facing harassment and threats after the deadly Pahalgam attack.

“Helpline has addressed and solved dozens of calls from students across the country, many of which arrived for emotional support and logistic help,” he said.

He said that the officer -in -charge has handled every call with remarkable efficiency, which includes late night emergency situations. The official said, “The welfare of our students is of great importance. The helpline remains active and any student can call for help at any time. Our teams are available in the clock time to provide necessary help,” the official said.
