Kidnapping, sold as a infant, China man wants a compensation of Rs 7.8 crore after 17 years

About two decades ago, a person was abducted and sold as an infant, now demanding compensation of 6.77 million yuan (about Rs 7.8 crore) from the defendants in a Chinese court. The Intermediate People’s Court in Taiwan, Shedong province, is hearing the case.

Jiang Jiyru, now in 18, 2023, was re -associated with her biological mother.

“You have caused me unimaginable harm, which cannot be overcome,” he said, “he said that by adding no amount or forgiveness, he could be completely cured what he was.

According to a report in the South China Morning Post, Mr. Ziyru was abducted by three people aged eight months (SCMPThe three people entered their house in Houuu village, armed with pinners and sticks, and they beat up their grandparents before abducting.

The boy’s grandmother revealed in the court that the man attacked her husband, covered in blood due to a brutal beating. He said, “They also trampled on his head, causing his eyes to emerge.” She said she was very scared to scream, as one of the kidnappers pressed an iron pipe against her neck.

“I looked helplessly because they snatched my grandson, unable to act.”

The trio then sold the boy to a couple living in the gining and divided the income of 28,600 yuan (about Rs 3.29 lakh).

Court documents reported that another person was involved in the case, who had allegedly provided personal information to the other three defendants about the victim’s family. The fourth defendant, the surname Yuan informed him that the child was fully looked after by his grandparents, while his parents worked in another city.

During the court hearing, two defendants, Lu and Wang admitted that they were involved in the kidnapping, while the other two, Yuan and Zeng said they did not participate in the crime and denied any participation.

Mr. Zeng said in the court that he was not engaged in the theft of the child, but he admitted to presenting the buyer in the group. Mr. Yuan said that he was unaware that he intends to kidnap the child.

The court has not yet pronounced the verdict.
