Erin Andrews had to apologize to an NFL star she had accidentally ignored

FOX news anchor Erin Andrews, a renowned US sports broadcaster, had to humbly apologize to an NFL star she had accidentally ignored during a live broadcast on FOX NFL. Andrews’ live television interviews with players and coaches are a popular feature for fans, but the fast-paced nature of the show can sometimes lead to uncomfortable situations.
Andrews, who has worked for ESPN and FOX NFL for 20 years, experienced a particularly painful incident with a microphone, highlighting the challenges she faced in her career. Last year, she said to the ‘Calm Down with Erin Andrews’ podcast, “If it was something that involved a team and a player, you and I are so emotional and invested in our relationship with that. We’ve talked about it.”

She continued, “I had a situation where a certain player was coming up behind me and I didn’t know. He thought I was going to interview him. We had to get off air. It ruined my day for three straight days. I ended up having to call him. I was just like, literally, ‘I need you to know you’re like one of my favorite players and I was doing that because we had to get off air, not because I didn’t want to talk to you’.”
Andrews has kept the name, game, and year of the incident involving footballer, ensuring no one can find out which star this happened to. She joined FOX’s broadcasting team in 2012 after eight years as a ESPN NHL reporter for the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 2012, she joined FOX as the inaugural host of ‘FOX College Football’.
