Rift in Haryana govt? Day after show-cause notice to minister Anil Vij, CM Nayab Saini dials Khattar and Nadda in Delhi
Haryana CM Nayab Saini and senior BJP leaders met with party president JP Nadda and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to discuss the show-cause notice issued to Haryana Minister Anil Vij.

CHANDIGARH: A day after issuing Haryana minister Anil Vij was issued a show-cause notice for utterings against him, the Haryana chief minister Nayab Saini and party leaders on Tuesday called on BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi.
In related development, Vij also left for Bengaluru from Chandigarh by air. Details of his tour could not be ascertained. An uneasy calm prevailed at the BJP quarters in Rohtak as well as the residence of Anil Vij in Ambala.
Sources in BJP said leaders would wait for a reply from Vij before proceeding further. Referring to Saini’s meetings in Delhi, leaders confirmed that the issue of Vij could be among those to be taken up with the party leadership. According to information, the CM left for New Delhi on Monday night. During the day, he called on Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar at his New Delhi residence. Saini was accompanied by Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, organisation Secretary Phanindernath Sharma, and other senior leaders.
The meeting lasted for over an hour before Saini, Badoli, Sharma, and others proceeded to call on Nadda at his residence. It is learnt that the meeting with Nadda also lasted an hour.
“So far as the Delhi tour is concerned, leaders have their own issues to be discussed. When it comes to the notice, Vij has three days to reply. we will wait,” said a leader privy to the entire development.
On Monday, Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli served a notice to Vij, asking him to show cause for his utterances against him and Saini. Badoli categorically mentioned that the notice was served on the orders of BJP president Nadda.
When Badoli and Saini were campaigning for BJP in Delhi elections, Vij had opened a front against the two by issuing statements against them for five straight days. All this stopped after the BJP high command stepped in and the party’s Haryana in-charge, Satish Poonia, called on Vij and Badoli.
