The first of the two JEE (Main) sessions took place in January, while the second session is scheduled for April, with online registrations ongoing. The exam was conducted in 13 languages across 618 centres in 304 cities, including 15 cities outside India including Abu Dhabi, West Java, Washington, and Munich.
Compared to the 21 overseas locations in 2024, the number of foreign test centres has slightly decreased.
Based on the results of JEE-Main Paper 1 and Paper 2, around 2.6 lakh candidates will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam, which serves as the gateway to the 23 IITs. The final rankings will be determined based on the best of the two NTA scores from the January and April sessions.
NTA score is a normalised measure based on the relative performance of all examinees in a given session and is not equivalent to a percentage. As part of enhanced security measures, NTA implemented AI-based video analytics and biometric verification at test centres, along with 5G jammers to prevent malpractices.
