Secunderabad hotel attacked
A surprising case has come to light in Secunderabad, Telangana. Food safety officials of the state conducted surprise inspections at various locations in and around Secunderabad on December 18, 2024 and found massive disregard for food safety regulations. During the raids, food safety officials found serious irregularities at Golden Dragon Restaurant in Parklane and Sarvi Restaurant and Bakery in MG Road.
Food safety officials said that during the investigation, 8 kilograms of raw chicken and 2 kilograms of boneless chicken were found to have expired at the Golden Dragon restaurant. Otherwise, a 32kg pack of noodles had no label whatsoever. Nonetheless, all are used in food. Officials also seized synthetic food coloring used in the food from the restaurant.

Non-veg items are kept along with vegetables.
According to information provided by officials, the refrigerator in the restaurant was dirty and contained both vegetable and non-veg food. The drain in the restaurant kitchen was filled with food. There are also many insects. In addition, employees work without aprons, hair covers and gloves. Food safety officials also observed similar conditions at Salvi’s Restaurant and Bakery. The cashew biscuits, Osmania biscuits and Bournvita biscuits in the bakery were expired. Unlabeled cookies and cakes were stored in rusty containers at the bakery. The Sarvi restaurant was infested with cockroaches but despite this the food was left open in the kitchen.
Making fun of customers’ health
Food safety officials described the violations as endangering the health of customers. It is said that strict measures will be taken against restaurants that do not comply with food safety regulations. In addition to this, their license may also be cancelled. In addition to this, officials are asking customers to remain vigilant and pay attention to the cleanliness of restaurants.
