IND and AUS test series: Australia have announced their line-up for the final two Tests of the series against India, with two major changes. Nathan McSweeney has played for Australia in the first three Tests of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, opening the bat for Usman Khawaja (Usman Khawaja) provides support but has been left out by the selectors in the last two games. Sam Constas receives award for outstanding performance
19-year-old opening batsman Sam Constas, who hit a hundred in the Australian Premier XI’s pink-ball practice match against India, has been named in the Australian squad for the past two games. The Australian selectors decided to give Sam a chance as a replacement for Nathan McSweeney, who had struggled with the bat in the first three games of the series. Sam also made his debut for the Sydney Thunder in the 2024-25 Big Bash League, which started last week, which also saw him in excellent form.
Another player who has been named in the Australian squad for the Melbourne and Sydney Tests is fast bowler Jhye Richardson. After a gap of three years, Jhay has become a member of the Kangaroos Test team. Richardson played the final Test match of the Ashes series against England at the Adelaide Stadium in 2021. Meanwhile, Sean Abbott came into the squad in place of injured bowler Josh Hazlewood.
