The BJP and the Congress are at loggerheads over the issue of Dr BR Ambedkar, the framer of the Constitution. On Thursday, both parties held protests at the Capitol. During this period, a scuffle also broke out in which BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured. The BJP blames the Congress for this. Meanwhile, the Congress accused the BJP MPs of putting pressure on the party president. Meanwhile, Congress leader and party general secretary KC Venugopal demanded the home minister’s resignation over his remarks.
Congress MP KC Venugopal took aim at the BJP through a post about his predecessor. “The ridiculous drama that unfolded in the Parliament House today was a brilliant display of the BJP’s ‘anti-Ambedkar mission to save Amit Shah’,” he wrote. His remarks come as he resigns before taking the issue to the streets across the country.
“Peacefully cooperate with security personnel”
KC Venugopal wrote in the post, “If representing Babasaheb Ambedkar means facing litigation, then we will gladly face every case.” He said that for the past 15 days, the opposition leaders and the opposition led by various parties in India have been Peaceful protests took place at the Capitol on a variety of issues. No disruption or disruption of any kind occurred. The Speaker has given clear instructions that there should be no obstacles on the road to the House.
He wrote, “Security personnel have been assigned to manage the entrance. We have always followed this and never blocked the way and cooperated peacefully with the security personnel. Today, a peaceful dharna ceremony was held at Prerna Star with sticks and After hanging the posters around Constitution House, we were shocked to see the BJP MP blocking the entrance by putting up posters with sticks.
‘BJP has the responsibility to lower the dignity of Parliament’
The Congress leader said it was strange that no security was present despite completely violating the Speaker’s instructions. In the disgraceful incident, a BJP lawmaker pushed a senior Congress leader with a stick and an opposition leader in the Lok Sabha was also prevented from entering the House and misbehaved with him. Clearly, the BJP MPs are responsible for ruining the atmosphere of the House and lowering the dignity of the Assembly. No amount of drama or subterfuge can absolve Amit Shah from the responsibility for his derogatory remarks about Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
