The Kerala High Court has expressed concern over the upcoming Sunburn Festival in Wayanad district. The event will be held on the New Year at the Great Tea Garden in Wayanad. There will be DJ events and many other types of programs. The event is named after the famous Sunburn Festival held in Goa. According to media reports, the famous DJ artist Mari Ferrari will participate in this show.
Sunburn Festival is an electronic dance and music festival held in India. It was founded in India by entrepreneur Shailendra Singh. The event is divided into stages and lasts from three to five days. There are a lot of artists involved. Held in Goa from 2007 to 2015. Thereafter, it started organizing in Maharashtra and Goa. Likewise, the event is being held in Kerala.
Who complains about what?
Two elderly people from Wayanad have lodged complaints in this regard. He first complained to the District Disaster Management Authority and the district collector. But now the matter is before the High Court.
The complaint states that approximately 20,000 people will attend the event. In this regard, the court has asked the extent to which the authorities in Wayanad are prepared to maintain order among the crowds.
Thousands of people are expected to come to Wayanad on the evening of December 31. Approximately 25 acres of farmland have been prepared for the event. Ticket prices range from Rs 499 to Rs 5,000.

Last year, lathicharge was triggered by a scheme organized at the same location. This happens when a stampede-like situation occurs at an event. Some people were reportedly seriously injured.
