Along with this, around 1,32,000 IMEI numbers have also been blocked. This information was given by Savitri Thakur, Minister of State for Women and Child Development in the Union House.
The Union Minister said the government is working expeditiously to curb the rapidly growing cyber fraud and other cyber crimes while strengthening the capabilities of law enforcement agencies and judiciary.
Agencies save crores of rupees
The government said it has saved people over Rs 3,431 crore by resolving 9.94 lakh complaints received on the National Cyber ​​Crime Reporting Portal. The Union Minister said that the government is currently working with telecom companies to stop fake calls. Calls that appear to be from India but are actually international calls are also being blocked, he said.
Training provided via CyTrain
According to the Union Minister of State, in order to completely control cybercrime, the Ministry of Home Affairs has launched an online platform called CyTrain. It is a platform that teaches police and judicial officers various skills related to cybercrime investigation and evidence collection. According to the government, more than 98,000 police officers and 698 police officers have received CyTrain training so far.
