The wait for millions of Vodafone Idea users is over, 5G services are launched in these 17 places

Vodafone Idea has finally launched 5G services. After nearly two years of waiting, the country’s third-largest telecom company has finally launched 5G services. Vodafone-Idea’s 5G services have been launched in 17 licensed areas in the country. Although it’s a very small launch, the company’s tens of millions of users are expected to get 5G service soon.

In 2022, Vodafone-Idea participated in the 5G spectrum auction along with Airtel and Jio. Airtel and Jio won’t launch 5G services until October 2022, but Vodafone-Idea users will have to wait a long time. According to Telecom Talk, Vodafone-Idea has launched 5G services in the 3.3GHz and 26GHz frequency bands. Vodafone-Idea (Vi)’s prepaid and postpaid customers will be able to use 5G services.

Vodafone-Idea has launched 5G services based on the mid-3.5GHz frequency band in 17 telecom circles. Here is the complete list –

1. Rajasthan – Jaipur (near Galaxy Cinema, Mansarovar Industrial Estate, RIICO)
2. Haryana – Karnal (HSIIDC, Industrial Area, Sector 3)
3. Kolkata-(Region 5, Salt Lake City)
4. Kerala-Thrikkkakkada, Kakkanad
5. UP East – Lucknow (Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar)
6. UP West – Agra (Near JP Hotel Fatehabad Road)
7. Madhya Pradesh – Indore (Electronic Complex, Pardeshipura)
8. Gujarat – Ahmedabad (near Divya Bhaskar, Corporate Road, Makarba, Prahlad Nagar)
9. Andhra Pradesh – Hyderabad (Aida Upal, Ranga Reddy)
10. West Bengal – Siliguri (Sewok Road City Square)
11. Bihar-Patna (Anishabad Golambhar)
12. Mumbai-Worli, Marol Andheri East

Vi 5G plan

Vodafone-Idea has also deployed the 2.6GHz band in all these telecom circles except Bihar. Currently, Vodafone-Idea’s 5G service is only commercially available in some areas. For Vodafone 5G services, users have to opt for the Rs 475 plan. Meanwhile, postpaid users will enjoy the benefits of 5G services through the REDX 1101 plan.
