Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing the fourth National Chief Secretaries’ Conference in Delhi today. The three-day conference was held in Delhi from December 13 to 15. Prime Minister Modi wrote in X’s post that the scheme is an important platform for the Center to work with states to promote good governance. The meeting discussed promoting development, ensuring effective governance and enhancing service delivery to citizens.
Prime Minister Modi said we are also focusing on how to strengthen infrastructure and use technology to improve governance. The Prime Minister said that People-to-People Proactive Good Governance (P2G2) is at the core of our work through which we can achieve the goal of a developed India.

The Prime Minister particularly praised start-ups in second- and third-tier cities. He asked states to work towards encouraging such innovation and provide an environment where start-ups can receive support. He called on states to find suitable places for entrepreneurship in small towns and proactively connect them with the banking system and provide logistics and facilities.
