Sunday classes at Jamia Millia Islamia have been postponed as commemorative events are planned for students protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Students plan to organize a commemorative event on the fifth anniversary of the end of the protests against CAA in 2019. Meanwhile, Jamia’s classes have been suspended. Libraries and cafeterias are also closed.
The left-wing student organization All India Students Association (AISA) has accused the university management of this. Student organizations said the administration made the decision to discourage students from participating in the program. At the same time, a video related to this has also surfaced. In this incident, students raised slogans such as “Delhi Police Go Back” to protest against the heavy deployment of police personnel outside the campus.
Courses closed due to maintenance work – Administration

The university administration issued three notices late Saturday night. Classes, canteens and libraries will remain closed from 1 p.m. due to maintenance work, it said.
