Tej Pratap Yadav.
Former health minister and RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav strongly attacked the Bihar government. During a program organized in Vaishali’s Hajipur, he raised serious questions about the state of the health system and underemployment in Bihar. Tej Pratap Yadav said there is a shortage of oxygen, medicines and beds in hospitals in the state and the government has failed to provide employment opportunities. He pointed the finger at the government, calling it the source of problems for students and ordinary people.
Tej Pratap Yadav also reacted strongly to police brutality charges against BPSC candidates’ protest in Patna on Friday. He said, when the government does not provide employment, why don’t students take to the streets to demand it? He said the government should pay attention to the needs of students and provide them with employment opportunities. He put the Nitish government in the dock over the incident alleged by Rati, calling it an atrocity.
Tej Pratap slams health minister
Tej Pratap said government policies were forcing people to take to the streets day after day. Tej Pratap Yadav also discussed the dire situation of health services in Bihar. He said Bihar government hospitals lacked basic medicines, beds and oxygen. He claimed that when he was health minister, he personally inspected hospitals and tried to improve the system there. But now he’s attacking the health minister and saying things are getting worse.
People increasingly rely on private hospitals
He also said that now no patients are going to government hospitals for treatment as there is no system there and people are moving to private hospitals. Tej Pratap said if the state government does not improve health services, he is sure people will prefer to receive treatment in private hospitals instead of government hospitals. His allegation is that instead of improving hospital conditions, the government has neglected them, leaving people increasingly dependent on private hospitals.
Visited many hospitals
He questioned the failure of the state health minister and said that when he was minister, he used to try to improve hospitals while inspecting them, but now there is no obvious improvement. Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, took the opportunity to inaugurate a private hospital. The event was attended by a large number of his workers and supporters. After the hospital was completed, Taj Pratap said in an interview with the media that the hospital was an effort to improve the country’s health system.
