Engineer Atul Subhash’s suicide has reverberated across the country. His wife Nikita has filed nine lawsuits against him. The matter is ongoing in court. The court gave date after date. Troubled by all this, Atul decided to end his life. Bihar resident Atul Subhash recorded an 80-minute video before committing suicide in which he made multiple accusations against his estranged wife Nikita Singhania and her family. He also criticized the judicial system in his 24-page suicide note.
His suicide remains a contentious issue, while the Supreme Court has laid out an eight-point formula to determine the amount of alimony. Supreme Court bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice PV Varale, while hearing divorce cases, advised all courts across the country to issue orders based on factors mentioned in the judgment.
