Ajinkya Rahane may be out of the Test squad for now, but he is still considered a Test batsman. However, Rahane is currently making waves with his bat in T20s as well. Rahane is currently participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and he has played an important role in the team’s victory in almost every match. Ajinkya Rahane played a stormy innings of 84 runs against Vidarbha.
Rahane scored 84 runs in just 45 balls, hitting 10 fours and three sixes.
Ajinkya Rahane, who represented Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scored 84 runs off 45 balls against Vidarbha. During this period, he hit 10 fours and 3 sixes. His strike rate is around 186. At the same time, he was paired with Prithvi Shaw, who had an attractive innings of 49 runs off 26 balls. However, he failed to complete his half-century. Mumbai completed Vidarbha’s target of 222 runs with four balls remaining to advance directly to the semi-finals.
Rahane has been showing great performances in T20s.
Ajinkya Rahane did not show his threat with the bat only in this match. Earlier, Rahane surprised everyone with a score of 95 off 53 balls against Andhra Pradesh. However, he only scored 22 points against the service team. But even before that, he had scored 68 runs in 35 balls against Kerala. The first thing that comes out of this is that Rahane is no longer a Test batsman at this point, but more of a T20 batsman. It is not clear whether he will play for the Indian team but after some time, his strength will definitely show up in the IPL.
Rahane will represent KKR in IPL 2025
KKR has included him in the IPL 2025 team. He participated in the auction with a base price of Rs 15 crore and was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for this price. Before that, he also played for CSK for two years. From 2024 to now, only 2022 will not be available for him to play in the IPL, and his magic is visible there in the remaining years. Now it remains to be seen whether Rahane’s current form will continue into the IPL.
