New Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda presented a study report by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on sudden death during the coronavirus period in the Union House. The ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology conducted a study on people aged 18-45 years who were healthy and free from any disease before taking the Covid vaccine but later between October 1, 2021 and March 31, 2023 Died suddenly from unknown causes. The study was conducted in 47 hospitals across 19 states and union territories.
During the study, 729 samples were collected from people who died suddenly and 2,916 samples were collected from people who had been rescued after a heart attack. Studies show the chance of death is reduced after vaccination. The ICMR study also revealed that the sudden deceased had consumed excessive amounts of alcohol or drugs within 48 hours before death. JP Nadda told Parliament that the sudden death after vaccination had nothing to do with vaccination.
