The minor disappeared on the evening of October 4. Police found the body overnight. Shortly thereafter, the defendant was arrested. The next day, October 5, the accused appeared before the Baruipur court. On October 7, an SIT was formed to investigate the incident. Exactly 23 days after the SIT was constituted, that is, on October 30, the chargesheet was submitted to the Baruipur court.
Testimony began six days after the charge sheet was filed. One month later, on Thursday, December 5, the accused Mustakin Sardar was found guilty by the Baruipur POCSO Court.
