Vikrant Massey returns to sets to shoot with Shanaya Kapoor in Dehradun after mysterious ‘exit’ post

December 5, 2024: Days after Vikrant Massey’s cryptic Instagram post sparked speculations about his retirement, he is back on a film set. The actor was recently spotted shooting in Dehradun eye trick With Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor. In the video shared online, Vikrant interacts with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while Shanaya Kapoor in a winter outfit is also seen on the sets. According to reports, the film is directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla.

Vikrant’s Instagram post on Monday sent shockwaves among his fans as he hinted at meeting them “for the last time” in 2025. The announcement sparked widespread speculation about his retirement. However, the actor clarified the next day that he was not retiring, but was planning a long break to focus on his health, family and craft.

In a clarification, Vikrant said, “Acting is all I can do. It’s given me everything I’ve got. My physical and mental health has taken a hit. I just want to take some time off. I want to improve my craft. I feel a sense of monotony right now. “ He assured fans, adding, “My post was misunderstood. I am not giving up or retiring from acting. I will come back when I feel it is right.”

Vikrant wrote in his original Instagram post: “The last few years have been phenomenal. But as I moved on, I realized it was time to reset and come home. As a husband, a father and a son. But also as an actor.” He further mentioned that he would see fans “for the last time” in 2025 before taking a break as planned.

Despite the buzz surrounding his post, Vikrant attended a special screening of his latest film, Sabarmati Reportat the Parliament Library in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Talking about that moment, Vikrant shared: “Having the opportunity to watch ‘The Sabarmati Report’ with the Prime Minister of our country was the high point of my career.” However, when asked about “retirement” at the event, the actor chose not to comment.

Vikrant Massey is currently producing two films: Dear Jigri and eye trick.
