Congress calls Bangladesh cruelty towards Hindus – Indian govt should take strict measures

Bangladesh’s cruel treatment of Hindus

Congress has expressed concern over the ongoing attacks against Hindus in Bangladesh. “We are deeply concerned about the insecurity faced by religious minorities in Bangladesh,” the Congress said in a statement. The arrest of an ISKCON saint is the latest example of this. Congress wants the Indian government to put pressure on the Bangladesh government to take necessary steps to ensure protection of lives and properties of minorities.

Genocide against Hindus occurred after the coup in Bangladesh. After the ouster of Sheikh Hasina, Hindus in Bangladesh were brutally suppressed. Large-scale looting and vandalism against the minority Hindu community is taking place. Commercial establishments and houses of Hindus were targeted.

The Hindu community is further outraged by the arrest of ISKCON spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh. The Indian government reacted strongly to the arrest of Chinmay Das. The Ministry of External Affairs said it was concerned about the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das. The Bangladesh government should ensure the safety of minorities. Chinmoy Krishna Das has been accused of disrespecting the Bangladesh flag.
