He told reporters that the first incident occurred on Saturday in Tiyun village in Kullu district, where four houses were burnt down. The incident resulted in a loss of approximately Rs 8 million.

Kullu deputy district magistrate Vikas Sharma said the district government has sent a team to the spot to assess the situation and provide relief to the affected people. He said the real cause of the fire was being ascertained.

In the second incident, 10 dormitories were burned to ashes.

The second incident took place on Saturday night at the National Hydropower Corporation (NHPC) colony in Surangani in Chamba district, where around 10 dormitories were gutted in a fire, officials said.
