The fans have been shipped on special trucks. This is the first time such a large fan has been used in a political procession in Pakistan. In an interview with Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, Ikram Khatana, PTI’s head of social media, said these fans were prepared locally, especially for the demonstrations. “There were six such fans and they were part of the convoy being evacuated from Peshawar,” Qatana said. Generators were also arranged to run the fans, he said.
Protests turn violent
At the same time, we would like to inform you that demonstrations by supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan have turned violent. Four paramilitaries and two police officers were killed. More than 100 security personnel were also injured in the violence. Government media has disclosed this information. As a result of the violence, the government has deployed troops in the capital and ordered gangsters to be shot on sight.
