The Supreme Court once again dismissed the PIL seeking conduct of elections through ballot papers instead of EVMs. A bench of Justices Vikram Nath and PB Varale made several observations while dismissing the petition. In fact, the petitioner claims that he has the support of 18 political parties. Leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy also said that EVMs can be tampered with. Petitioner Paul said, I just came from the wonderful Global Peace Summit in Los Angeles. Our IAS, IPS and judges are all retiring and they are supporting me. Justice Vikram Nath said why did you enter this political field? Petitioner Paul said that every country has systems such as physical ballot voting or electronic EVM, and in the United States there is physical voting. We are protecting democracy. Petitioner Paul said that 18 political parties have supported it.
