Maharashtra Chief Minister in suspense, Fadnavis returns to Mumbai, doesn’t meet top leader in Delhi

Devendra Fadnavis

There is still suspense over who will become the chief minister of Maharashtra. Several rounds of meetings were held in Mumbai on the chief minister’s post, but the matter has to be finalized in Delhi. Yesterday, Devendra Fadnavis came to Delhi for a private project but returned to Mumbai without meeting anyone. Sources said he did not meet any senior BJP leader.

Sources said Fadnavis was returning to the airport after attending the wedding ceremony of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter. In fact, Mahayuthi won a landslide victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections. The fight continues over who will become chief minister after victory. Today, the term of the Maharashtra Assembly comes to an end. According to sources, Eknath Shinde will resign as chief minister today.

Since then, it has been a mystery as to who will control Maharashtra. It has not yet been decided whether Fadnavis will become the chief minister or Shinde will be given the command or the power will be in the hands of someone else.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is the party with the most seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party has once again emerged as the largest party in the Maharashtra elections. The BJP contested elections in 149 seats and has won 132 seats so far. Shiv Sena won 57 seats and NCP won 41 seats. The BJP is the largest political party and therefore a decision has not yet been taken on the choice of the chief minister of the BJP.
