Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2025 complete squad: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s performance in the IPL 2024 season gave another fear to all other teams, however, Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to successfully defend their title despite reaching the finals. Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained a total of 5 players, which include Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen and Travis Head besides captain Pat Cummins. Thereafter, the same aggressive strategy was seen in the auctions where he succeeded in making Ishan Kishan a part of his team.
Hyderabad spends the most for Ishan Kishan and Shami
The two most expensive players for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2025 mega auction are Ishan Kishan and Mohammed Shami. To make Ishaan a part of the team, Sunrisers Hyderabad spent Rs 1,125 crore to include him in the team. Ishaan was a part of Mumbai Indians last season but before the mega auction He was not retained by the team. Apart from this, Mohammad Shami, who earlier played for Gujarat Titans, will now play for Sunrisers Hyderabad next season. Kavya Maran’s Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise made Shami a part of their team for Rs 10 crore.
Rahul Chahar and Harshal Patel will also feature in the Hyderabad jersey.
Harshal Patel, also known as Purple Patel in the IPL, will also make his debut in the Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey in the 2025 IPL season. Sunrisers Hyderabad spent Rs 8 crore to hire Harshal Patel to join the team. Apart from this, leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, who had a mediocre performance last IPL season, was also included in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s squad for Rs 320 crore.
