Ten years later, the Congress reared its head in Delhi and Arvind Kejriwal was playing this game even before the elections!

After 10 years, Congress reared its head in Delhi, AAP played games!

Forgetting the defeats of 2015 and 2020, the Aam Aadmi Party has started dealing a blow to the Congress party trying to regain power in Delhi even before the elections. The AAP is developing two strategies for this. The first part of the strategy is to disrupt strong congressional leaders who can influence elections.

The second strategy is to pit the BJP against the Aam Aadmi Party throughout the election. By starting a discussion on Rewari, you are also taking a gamble.

Congress takes strong roadblocks

The Congress party is mounting a strong fight to return to power in Delhi after a decade. Key leaders of the party are canceling the Delhi Jodo Yatra on the lines of Bharat Jodo. Apart from recalling its past work, the Congress also highlighted those issues of direct relevance to the people of Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi personally intervened to contain the AAP and the BJP on major issues such as pollution. Besides wooing core voters in Delhi, the Congress is also trying to triangulate the fight.

But these 3 moves by Kejriwal heightened tensions

Tickets for three congressional leaders

The Aam Aadmi Party has announced the list of 11 candidates for the Delhi elections. Four Congress leaders have been given tickets in the list. The party nominated Veer Singh Dhingan from Seemapuri, Somesh Shokeen from Matiala and Seelampur Zubair Chaudhary.

AAP provided tickets to the trio based on investigations. All three have served in Congress and are strong base leaders in the region. It can be said that AAP made a huge gamble before the election and selected these three candidates.

The party is also keeping a close eye on MPs who want to contest elections but have a safe haven. This is said to be why the AAP is trying to send a message to the leaders by giving invoices to the traitors.

Trying to get BJP vs AAP

Arvind Kejriwal knows that the Aam Aadmi Party may suffer more if the elections turn out to be a triangular contest. In 2013, the Delhi elections were triangular, with the BJP becoming the largest party. AAP fell to second position and Congress to third position.

The 2015 and 2020 elections were a contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Action Party (AAP). AAP won unilaterally in both elections. Kejriwal’s efforts this time also helped the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Action Party win the election.

Arvind Kejriwal tried to vent this in a discussion on Rewari. Kejriwal said, I am talking about free water, free electricity and health, so don’t press the lotus button. Just the pressure of the broom.

Focus on Dalit and Muslim vote bank

AAP creates an atmosphere through its commitment to freedom. At the same time, the party does not shy away from addressing Dalit and Muslim issues. Amid the hubbub of Delhi Assembly elections, AAP handed over command of Punjab to Dalit Aman Arora.

In Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is also the leader of the AAP party since 2022. The decision by AAP is seen as a way to help Dalits in Delhi. Delhi has about 20% Dalits and 12 seats have been reserved for them.

AAP is leaving no stone unturned to woo Muslim and Purvanchal voters. Kejriwal himself has been outspoken about the problems of both communities. Delhi’s Muslim and Purvanchal community voters also account for more than 25%.
