The Adani Group has strongly refuted the charges brought against the directors of its renewable energy unit Adani Green by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In a statement released on November 21, the company dismissed the accusations as baseless and vowed to pursue all available legal remedies.

The group cited the U.S. Department of Justice’s own position, stressing that the charges were merely accusations. “The charges in the indictment are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty,” the U.S. Department of Justice stated.

The Adani Group reiterates its commitment to adhering to the highest standards of governance, transparency and regulatory compliance in all geographies where it operates. “We would like to assure our stakeholders, partners and employees that we are a law-abiding organization and fully comply with all laws,” the spokesperson said.

The company affirmed its commitment to maintaining trust and confidence among its stakeholders while pursuing legal recourse to resolve the allegations.
