Vikrant Massey calls on UP CM Yogi Adityanath

The CM shared a photo with Vikrant on X (formerly Twitter) and said, “Today, film actor Shri Vikrant Massey paid a courtesy visit to the government residence in Lucknow.”

Vikrant also shared the same photo on Instagram and expressed his gratitude to the chief minister. “Had the opportunity to meet Chief Minister Hon Yogi Adityanath today. Their appreciation inspired the entire team of #TheSabarmatiReport. Heartfelt thanks for this respect and love,” he wrote.

The film gained attention for its depiction of the 2002 Godhra train carriage burning incident. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier praised the film, calling it an important work that revealed the “truth” about the incident. He replied to a post on X that tagged him and shared the trailer of the movie. In his speech, the Prime Minister said: “It is a good thing that the truth is out and, to some extent, ordinary people can see it. False narratives can only last for a limited time. Eventually, the truth will come out. !”

Directed by Dhiraj Sarna, Sabarmati Report The film is based on the real-life incident of the burning of the S-6 coach of the Godhra Sabarmati Express, which led to a major public incident in India. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, the film releases on Friday.
