Many states in northern India, including Delhi, have experienced mild cold spells. As evening approaches, one can feel a rosy chill. Light fog and smog prevailed in Delhi in the early morning. The sunlight that shines through during the day keeps temperatures from dropping, although no increase in sunlight is seen. According to the weather department, the cold feeling is likely to intensify in Delhi-NCR over the next two to three days. Skies are expected to remain clear until November 21. However, there will be slight chills in the morning, evening and night, accompanied by light fog or smoke.
Be alert, the cold will intensify
The meteorological department said that from November 18, the cold weather may intensify. From November 17 to November 21, the sky will be clear, but light fog may occur in some areas in the morning. From November 18th to 19th, the maximum temperature is expected to be 27℃ and the minimum temperature is 14℃. After that, the temperatures will reach 26 degrees on November 19 and 13 degrees on November 20 respectively.
Many places across the country, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, will experience light fog in the morning. The temperature is likely to drop rapidly and the cold will intensify in the next two to three days. Temperatures will start to drop in northern India from next week, after which the cold is likely to intensify.
Fog warning issued in Uttar Pradesh, heavy rain in Kerala
The IMD has issued a fog alert in 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh for the next two to three days. These include Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Rampur, Pilibhit, Shravasti, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shahjahanpur, Balaich, Gonda, Lakhimpurkheri, Kushinagar, Mau, Deoria, Sitapur and Maharajganj.
The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning for many parts of Kerala. In these districts, heavy rain warning has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollon, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Thrissur. Apart from this, light rain is possible in the remaining areas.
