Controversy over helicopters surfaces

During the election, different parties continued to claim that helicopters were intercepted. From Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena to JMM in Jharkhand, blame was also placed on intercepting helicopters. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray was angry when his plane was inspected during his air travel between Maharashtra elections. He expressed displeasure after election officials in Solapur raided his helicopter for the second time in a day on Tuesday. In this regard, Uddhav targeted Prime Minister Modi and said that Prime Minister Modi has come to Solapur, then why his helicopter was not searched.

Following this, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Tuesday had earlier also accused the Election Commission, the BJP and the central government of disrupting the party’s campaign. Party general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya claimed that efforts were on to prevent the JMM leader’s helicopter from taking off. This happened at the behest of the BJP and the Centre.
