Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar
Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly election polls on November 20, National Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar made an important statement. He said industrialist Gautam Adani was involved in talks between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Sharad Pawar-led National Congress Party (NCP) five years ago. Ajit Pawar was referring to the aftermath of the 2019 elections. He then joined hands with the BJP. Devendra Fadnavis became the chief minister of the state and Ajit Pawar became the deputy minister. Ajit Pawar said in an interview that Amit Shah, Gautam Adani, Praful Patel, Devendra Fadnavis and Pawar Saheb… were present.
On the issue of ideological differences between NCP and BJP, Ajit Pawar said that in 2014, NCP supported the BJP government from outside. It was only after the results of the parliamentary elections came out that NCP spokesperson Praful Patel said that we would support the BJP from the outside. Ajit Pawar said that the NCP later made it clear that this support was not permanent. This is just to form a government. Thereafter, the BJP and the Shiv Sena came together.

Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) reacted to this statement of Ajit Pawar. He said this proves that Adani is the government of Maharashtra. Congress leader Varsha Gaikwad asked Gautam Adani what he did in the meeting. I want to reiterate that Adani played a role in bringing down the MVA government. There are many other projects he wants to realize in Dharavi. This is not the Maharashtra government. This is the Adani government. The truth is now in front of everyone.

Sharad Pawar has always denied that he spoke to the BJP in 2019 about the government. Devendra Fadnavis had last year claimed that Sharad Pawar held multiple meetings with the BJP between 2017 and 2019.
