The first phase of voting will be held today in 43 Assembly constituencies of Jharkhand. Voting will be conducted till 4 pm at 939 polling stations in rural areas selected from the perspective of distance and security. There are many important seats in this phase such as Koderma, Barkatha, Barhi, Barkagaon, Hazaribagh, Simaria, Chatra, Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar and lay the foundation stone of AIIMS Darbhanga. On the occasion, state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Geetan Ram Manjhi and many other dignitaries will also be present. By-elections will be held for 33 parliamentary seats in more than 10 states. Meanwhile, voting for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat by-election will be held today.
